Savoyards Musical Comedy Society Inc. is producing the first Queensland Amateur production of this fabulous musical in 2013 and we’d love you to be part of this fantastic project. Attend our public Information Night to meet the Production Team and have all your questions answered.

WHERE:  Wynnum State High School, Peel Street, Manly

AUDITIONS:  Friday, 16 November to Sunday, 25 November (details about audition formats and requirements will be released soon).

Savoyards holds public auditions and we do not pre-cast.


Jason Ward Kennedy – Director

Jason Kennedy has been a professional actor/singer for 20 years and has performed in over 60 professional productions including Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Tanz Der Vampire, South Pacific, Big River, Les Miserables, Urinetown and Jesus Christ Superstar.  Working with world renowned individuals including Hal Prince, Roman Polanski and David Taylor, Jason brings international experience to this Queensland Amateur Premier of The Phantom of the Opera, and Savoyards is excited to have Jason as part of this team.

Matthew Nutley – Musical Director

Matthew has been working as a Musical Director, Repetiteur and Musician in Brisbane and the Gold Coast for over 10 years. Musically directing The Boy From Oz, The Sound of Music, Cabaret, and Singin’ In The Rain, Matthew won a Del Arte Charts award for Best Musical Component in the Ignations 2011 production of RENT.  With The Arts Centre Gold Coast, Matthew has been part of Forbidden Broadway and was Musical Director for their World Premiere of Pyjamas in Paradise.  As repetiteur and pit musician, he has played for shows including 42nd Street, PARIS, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Beauty and The Beast, Spamalot and FAME.

Natalie Lennox – Choreographer

Natalie has trained extensively in ballet, jazz, contemporary and tap dancing achieving her Advanced 2 RAD, RAD teaching certificate and Advanced Diploma of Arts (dance). She has performed a number of lead and supporting roles in musicals including Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Sheila Bryant in A Chorus Line, Bombalurina (understudy) in CATS, Mabel in FAME, and Chava in Fiddler On The Roof.  Other highlights include The Boy from Oz (dance captain), Singin In The Rain, Crazy For You, Oklahoma, West Side Story (assistant choreographer) and Hello Dolly! (Choreographer) and danced in the world premiere of Pyjamas in Paradise with director/choreographer Tony Bartuccio at the Gold Coast Arts Centre.

Sherryl-Lee Secomb – Assistant Director

Recently moving into Directing, Sherryl-Lee has been performing for the last 30 years in plays, concerts and in musical theatre roles including West Side Story (Anita), Guys & Dolls (Adelaide), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Fiddler on the Roof (Golde) and the Australian Premier of Leonard Bernstein’s MASS (QPAC/Queensland Conservatorium of Music).
